Parts Drying Equipment

Since many mass finishing operations utilize water in the process, it is desirable or necessary for the parts to be dried after the cycle is complete. Often, mass finished parts are small and nested which can make them difficult to dry with heated air only. This is especially true with part geometries that “cup” or hold water. Normal convection dryers have difficulties drying parts in these scenarios. A centrifugal hot air dryer can dry nested parts and speed drying times by spinning the basket at a high enough RPM which causes a centrifugal force to wring out or throw off excess water. A turbine fan below the basket creates a powerful suction that pulls heated air from the top lid-mounted heating element through the parts.

  • Unspotted, moisture-free parts in less than 60 seconds.
  • Industrial dryers from New Holland speed production by drying two ways. The centrifugal force from the spinning action of the basket “throws off” excess water, oils, rinses, or paints. At the same time, a turbine fan mounted below the basket creates a powerful suction that pulls air through the parts load for added drying power. This double-drying action assures fast drying and reduces the scarring and marring frequently responsible for costly rejects.
